Co-Host

Rob Mayer is a contributing founder to The Sports Take. Mayer is a sophomore at York College of Pennsylvania where he double majors in mass communications and public relations. He serves as the co-host to The Sports Take and color analyst for Spartan basketball and baseball. Rob graduated from Harford Technical High School located in Bel Air, Maryland. He is certified in computer aided designing and drafting. In high school, Mayer was a three time varsity letterman in football earning all county honors his senior year. Rob had the opportunity to play against current Minnesota Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson. In addition to football, Rob was a varsity letterman in baseball. Rob is also a sports intern at Fox 45 News in Baltimore. He has had the opportunity to work with sports anchor Amy Fadool and the voice of the Baltimore Ravens, Bruce Cunningham. His most treasured sports moment was the Baltimore Ravens victory in Super Bowl XXXV. Rob lives with his parents Dean and Debbie, his brother Andrew, and his dog Blake. Being from Baltimore, Rob is an avid Maryland sports fan including the Ravens, Orioles, and Maryland Terrapins. Rob loves working out, going crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay, and listening to rock music. He plans to graduate in 2011 and either have a production or on-air career in sports.
