Ryan Beinstein
Host
Ryan is one of the original founders of The Sports Take, getting it on the air in the fall of 2008. He is currently a junior at York College holding a double major in Mass Communications and Public Relations. He serves as the voice of York College sports, being the play by play announcer for the basketball and baseball teams on campus. Before attending York, Ryan graduated from Calvert Hall College High School just outside Baltimore, Maryland. Famous graduates of Calvert Hall included ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr., Wizards guard Juan Dixon, and IBM CEO Sam Palmisano. In high school, Ryan played varsity golf and volleyball, where he had the thrill of blocking and spiking a ball on NBA star Donte Green. He lives with his parents Steve and Carolyn, his sister Katie, and two dogs, Sam and Molly. His most treasured sporting accomplishment he attended was being at Cal Ripken’s 2131st game to break Lou Gehrig’s consecutive games streak. Being from Baltimore, he follows all the home town teams including the Orioles, Ravens, Terps, Wizards, and Capitals. Ryan loves the outdoors, golfing, and listening to country music. He plans to graduate in 2010 where he hopes to be on television and radio in the sporting world.
