March On: Lady Spartans Move On To Sweet 16

YORK - The York College Lady Spartans continue their magical run into the Sweet 16 by knocking off the Baruch College Bearcats 90-73.

  

     Charles Wolf Gymnasium on the campus of York College was the host to over 1,000 fans, mostly wearing Spartan green, whom were able to see the the Spartans clinch a birth into the Sweet 16 for the first time in school history. On the other side, Baruch College was coming off a big win over Cabrini, but nothing is tougher than facing the Spartans (#10 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches and #12 on d3hoops.com polls) at their home barn.

Top 10 College Basketball: Under and Over the Radar Teams

     As we enter into the conference schedules, where every game is a tough game, it is important to be aware of the teams flying in under the radar.  I try and stay away from the term sleeper because honestly I am just tired of hearing it.  As we have seen in the last few years, the Big East and ACC have been reigning supreme.  The Big East has posted a record-high nine teams in the top 25, while the ACC has three of the top four.  There are a number of teams out there that need to be watched carefully come March.  Counting down from ten, I will take a look at teams out there that may be ranked high or not ranked at all, but are not getting the publicity they deserve.

Pre-Season College Basketball Picks

Before the College Basketball season, the guys of The sports Take made picks for the upcoming seasons for major conference champions, sleepers, player of the year, and National Champion. The Final 4 was a bit of a stretch without seeing a bracket, but consider it their opinion on the 4 best teams in college basketball.
